The Educated Babysitter, LLC is a babysitting service that brings educated, professional sitters to the convenience of your home. We specialize in newborns, infants, toddlers, and school aged children. We also service families of multiples and special needs children. I started this service because there is such a need for quality childcare and experienced, educated sitters. I have a BA in Education, two Masters Degrees in Education, 25 years of babysitting experience and 17 years experience as a classroom teacher. I've worked in many childcare facilities throughout the DC area, as well
as for Easter Seals as a curriculum coordinator. I've helped to start
two charter schools in DC, was featured in The Examiner online newspaper
as a "Successful Entrepreneur"My sitters drive, work in professional settings, are CPR certified, educated, background checked, very loving and come to your home. You have tried the rest, now leave your kids with the best! We look forward to hearing from you!

A home visit is a "meet and greet" where I or one of the sitters come to your home and talk face to face with you about your babysitting needs. We are pleased to provide families with time to enjoy being able to go to the gym, out to dinner, movies, date night, Christmas shopping, run errands or just some quiet time to yourself!!

"You can say we picked The Educated Babysitter out of the yellow pages. Although we heard about them from a mom's listserve, we don't know and haven't met anyone who personally used their services. Tracy came personally, and although we left Sabrina wailing, we received of photo of Tracy and Sabrina hugging each other just minutes after that! We have used Tracy’s service for the past few years for our two children and have never been disappointed. Tracy has been able to accommodate me on whatever I need (date nights, all day Saturday, federal holidays, I have to work). Even if I reach out on Wednesday for a Friday sitter, Tracy has me covered.
